Year 10 Theme - Own & Respect

The College believes in nurturing the wellbeing, strengths, and gifts of all our students as essential elements of our Catholic Identity. The College's Pastoral Care program sees each year level focussing on a different age-appropriate developmental theme to support the holistic growth of students into caring, responsible members of society. The College strives to empower students with the information required to make healthy, positive choices and aid in their current and ongoing wellbeing. 

Students are encouraged to make informed decisions that reflect a healthy and positive attitude and to be responsible for the decisions made or “own” the decisions and choices made. 
Students are expected to own their decisions, and values, make good choices which respect themselves and other, and take responsibility for their relationships. Staged events in student growth:

  • Year 10 Service Day

  • Year 10 Dance

Subject Selection Evening

Subject Selection Evening - Term 2, Week 10
Wednesday, 1 July

We invite all Year 10 students and their parents or guardians to attend the Subject Selection Information Evening on Wednesday, 2 July, from 5.00pm to 7.30pm in the College Gymnasium.

 This evening is the first in a series of events to help you and your child choose a suitable pathway for Years 11 and 12, including VET, ATAR and WACE requirements.

What to Expect:

Careers Expo (5.00pm–7.30pm) in Gymnasium:
Speak with TAFE, university and training providers, and explore course displays.

Presentations (in Gym classrooms):
VET Pathway: 5.15–5.30pm and 5.45–6.00pm
ATAR Pathway: 6.15–6.30pm and 6.45–7.00pm

Students and their families attend the Course Counselling Day on Monday, 21 July, with their completed Course Selection Interview Preparation Sheet. The interview will be with a key member of staff who assists with narrowing down choices and answers any final questions. Selections are finalised during the interview.
